UBC NOMAS Design Competition Experience
In October 2025, I participated in the NOMA BGL Design Competition and Conference in Kansas City, Missouri. The competition offered a meaningful platform to engage with peers from other institutions, and learn directly from professionals. Throughout the process, preparing and delivering our final presentation to the jury pushed me to perform confidently under pressure and significantly improved my public speaking and storytelling skills.
Beyond the competition itself, attending the conference broadened my understanding of contemporary architectural issues, expanded my professional network, and exposed me to diverse design practices and perspectives. This experience continues to influence how I approach design challenges in my academic work.

UBC Emerging Media Lab
Internship Experience
Interdisciplinary exploration has been an important part of my learning during my bachelor studies, and my 2025 summer internship at the UBC Emerging Media Lab played a major role in this development. During this internship, I combined my architectural background with UX/UI design methods to help create an educational mining VR game. Working with Unreal Engine allowed me to build skills in interactive design, 3D environments, and digital experience prototyping.
At the beginning of September, I presented our project at the EML Final Showcase to an audience that included professionals and principal investigators from various disciplines. This experience strengthened my ability to communicate across fields, expanded my design toolkit, and develop my interest in integrating architecture with emerging technologies.
